Global Insurtech BOXX Insurance has announced three strategic appointments to support its growth and distribution agenda in the US.
Joe Gates has been named Head of Distribution, Central, where he will manage growing demand for BOXX’s all-in-one cyber insurance and protection products for businesses and homes. He will oversee broker and partner relationships to expand BOXX’s presence in central US regions.
Gates brings more than 20 years of experience in insurance distribution, marketing, and underwriting. He joins BOXX from At-Bay, where he was Business Development Manager, and previously spent 11 years at Beazley, most recently as Head of US Distribution – Digital. He has also held roles at AIG.

Ray Moylan has been appointed Claims Manager, joining the Global Claims and Hackbusters team, where he will lead BOXX’s proactive claims approach with US SME clients.
Moylan brings nearly a decade of experience in cyber, commercial, and property claims. He joins BOXX after five years at Marsh, where he served as VP – Senior Cyber Claims Advocate, and previously worked on Travelers’ National Accounts Team.
Thomas Beale has joined BOXX’s Technology team as Head of Engineering & Architecture. In this role, he will support BOXX’s global cyber and insurance platform strategy, including US API capabilities.
Beale brings extensive experience in security and cyber insurance. He joins from Converge Insurance, where he was CTO, and previously held senior roles at Guidewire Software and served as CTO & Co-Founder of Corax.
